Molly Katanga Bananukye the Widow of slain Kampala tycoon and Ankole Prince Henry Katanga who was brutally murdered at his residence in Mbuya in Nakawa division has been brought to the Nakawa court.
Since 2nd November when her husband met his tragic death, Molly has been confined at he IHK hospital and is said to have gone through several surgeries on her head and has snubbed court several times despite repeated criminal summons issued against her.

It was until the Nakawa Chief Magistrate Elisa Kakooza issued a warrant of arrest on Moday 22nd January where he directed police to go drag the widow from her hospital bed and forcefully bring her to court and if she’s indeed sick, she can always seek for bail on medical grounds but not to continue snubbing court like she’s on the moon.
The warrant of arrest has yielded and Molly Katanga has finally been brought to court while in a wheel chair. If her lawyers don’t seek bail which is literally impossible today since the lower court can’t give her that privilege and she has to get it from the high court, she will join her two daughters Martha and Patricia and other two people in Luzira prisons who have since been committed to the high court for their alleged involvement in their father’s murder on November 2nd 2023 at the family home on Chwa II road in Nakawa division.
In a related development, the prosecutor revealed that ballistic examination found Molly’s DNA on the killer pistol which pins more trouble to the sick widow. The family of Katanga and the family of Molly are both wealthy and well connected in government and and this remains to be one of the toughest legal battles.
