Shocking news reaching us indicate that the deputy government spokesperson Col Shaban Bantariza has died.
The retired army colonel passed on this morning and details surrounding his death are still scanty but we shall keep you posted once government and his family outs a statement.
Bantariza born in 1965 abandoned his studies at Makerere University and joined the National Resistance Army led by the current president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and he also served as an army spokesperson.
He took part in the recent NRM CEC elections, the apex body of the party but was told to quit the race because he’s a government employee leaving minister Chris Baryomunsi who sailed through victorious.
