The news of president museveni signing the controversial homosexual bill into law has been received with hope as parliament and speaker show excitement. Legislators stood a test of time to pass the bill and send it to Museveni twice until he signed it into law.
In her statement regarding the signing of the bill into law, Speaker Anita among has thanked the president for braving the intimidations and sanctions by the western donors and signed the bill into law.
Anita among also thanked her colleagues in parliament and Ugandans for the prayers and encouragement that pushed the bill to success because they’ve answered the prayers of Ugandans in protecting the family.

We have stood strong to defend our culture and aspirations of our people as per our objectives 19 & 24 of national objectives and directive principles of state policy”-reads Anita’s statement
