Eight People confirmed dead in Namutumba Fatal Accident

Taxi Wreckage

Over eight people have been confirmed dead and several others nursing wounds after Taxi Reg. No. UBE 687L overturned at Buyange, Namutumba District on Nakalama – Tirinyi – Mbale road.

Its alleged that 2 people died on spot and others succumbed to severe injuries upon reaching Namutumba health centre, while Six people are nursing wounds at Nakavule hospital Iganga district.

The Busoga East Police Spokesperson James Mubi states that due to over speeding, the taxi tyre bursted and the vehicle overturned several times.

All the 8 bodies have been taken to Iganga hospital for postmortem
