Bobi wine has for the past two weeks been preparing for his independence concert dubbed “Osobola Independece Concert” that was scheduled to take place today at his one love beach Busabala on the shores of lake victoria to which he wrote to police seeking clearance.
As it has always been the case, police have been quiet on the issue as Bobi Wine has been insisiting the concert will take place and he has been doing rehearsals and calling upon all his fans to attend in Big numbers.
Police had not replied to Bobi wine’s letter until yesterday that the Inspector General of Police wrote back to Bobi Wine informing him of how he has not allowed him to stage his Osoola concert because many requirements had not been met, among these are sniffer dogs, fire brigade, ambulances, security, traffic wardens among others.
The Police also informed Bobi wine that being a national celebration, today Uganda commemorates her 57th independence anniversary in the far district of Sironko about 241 kilometers away from the capital and on this effect, all police officers would be attending and giving security on this event and no single police office will be available to guard Bobi Wine’s concert.
As it has always been, Police and Military surrounded Bobi Wine’s home in Magere and his Beach in an attempt to hold him in a house arrest and prevent him from accessing his private property of One Love Beach Busabala and he has decried Police’s behavior of working on the tunes of the regime.
Police has always been blocking Bobi wine from performing and staging any concert ever since he announced his interest to end Museveni’s 33 years rule and the last time Bobi Wine performed on his show was last year in November at his One Love Beach Busabala
Much of these other details will follow in our subsequent coverage on this day.
