News reaching our desk indicate that the only female presidential aspirant set for nominations at Kyambogo University play ground Nancy Kalembe Lindah has been bounced from Kyambogo.
She’s the second candidate to be bounced by the electoral commission and hasn’t been nominated due to failure to make payment of the non-refundable fee of 20 million shillings.
According to the electoral commission, Kalembe didn’t present evidence that she had made the payments and was told to come back tomorrow after sorting out her self. Her nomination came to a halt the same way 24-year-old candidate was halted due to lack of evidence that the payments were made.
Once Kalembe is nominated, she will be the only female in the race, and she’s running on an independent ticket.
We have discovered that you have not yet paid a fee of UGX 20m, as a result, we are not able to nominate you because you have not fully complied with the requirements for a presidential candidate – Justice Byabakama to presidential aspirant Nancy Kalembe #UGDecides2021 #NTVNews pic.twitter.com/o4PA18LS7b
