As the country is moaning the death of retired Major General Kasirye Ggwanga who passed on at Nakasero hospital in Uganda’s capital today in the morning, the army which he served almost fourth years before retiring in 2018 has spoken about his demise.
According to the Deputy UPDF Spokesperson Lt Col Deo Akiki, the body of the late Maj General Kasirye Gwanga has been taken to Bombo military hospital for further Management and the army is in a meeting with the family to coordinate all arrangements of his dignified send off.
The fallen Soldier has been an outspoken patriotic Ugandan who environmental degradation relentlessly under his mandate especially in Mityana District where had camped and was seen shooting tires of vehicles carrying logs of trees.
His death came at the backdrop of the scientific heroes day celebrations happening now at State house. He passed on at Nakasero hospital where he had been admitted few works after being referred from the army hospital in Mbuya. Details about the cause of his death will be availed later.
