As the country gears for the 2026 general elections where President Museveni is set to extend his grip to power for another five years to make it 45 years in state house, his office has made more recruits to prepare for this election which is set to be highly contested.
This is not part of the Office of the National Chairman which also has NRM coordinators across the country. It’s also not part of the NRM Secretariat at Kyadondo road which also has 100s of Museveni coordinators across the country.

The newly recruited RDCs who have already received their posting letters from the Permanent Secretary of the Office of the Presidency Hajji Yunus Kakande are not yet sure of their real responsibilities but they’re sure to be permanent staff in the office of the RDCs.
According to some whom we’ve already spoken with and are excited that their sweat is finally appreciated told this publication that most of their responsibilities include fighting corruption, mobilization among others which even the RDCs and Deputy RDCs are doing but what they’re sure they’ll get a hefty salary.
The appointment of assistant RDCs is another salary burden to the already constrained economy as traders are complaining of over taxing, double taxation and unfair taxation systems including the Electronic Fiscal Receipting and Invoicing System.
