Man City made a trip to Mersey side and the two teams shared spoils after 98 minutes. The visitors scored in the 23rd minute courtesy of John Stone after putting to use an assist from Kevin De Bruyne. The hosts leveled at 58 minutes through Mac Allister’s penalty.

The match ended 1-1 and kept Arsenal at the top of the table at 64 points despite leveling points with Liverpool, thanks to their goal difference which is 7 goals clear ahead of the reds. Man City sits in the third position with 63 points.
