Controversial journalist Andrew Mwenda has stormed the people power headquarters and registered as an NUP member and picked nomination forms to challenge Bobi wine for party flag bearer.
This was a talk show dubbed the Media round table where Mwenda questioed NUP’s intolerance where no one else can be allowed to stand against Bobi wine. The party spokesperson Joel Ssenyonyi told him he’s free to join NUP and contest Bobi wine.
After the talkshow, Mwenda lived to his word and drove to Kamwokya, registered as a member and also picked nomination forms to run against Bobi wine for the party’s flag bearer ahead of the 2021 general elections.
NUP after all are not as radical as I previously thot! I visited their head office, registered as a member, then picked forms to become presidential candidate. I found @HEBobiwine, like @KagutaMuseveni was being treated as sole presidential candidate for the party. pic.twitter.com/WdB6IxMEfO
