It’s still a sombre mood in the country especially in the NRM corridors of power and the UPDF following the demise of Gen Elly Tumwine who was set to retire from the army later this year.
Tumwine who was briefly admitted at Nakasero hospital but later airlifted to Nairobi for better medication died today in the morning aged 68.
It has however been revealed that the tough speaking army boss died of lung cancer which he has been battling for quite some time.

This has been revealed by president Yoweri Museveni who mourned the fallen soldier in a moving tribute posted on his twitter handle.
