Former NBS Tv news boss and Mityana Women legislator on NUP ticket has categorically stated that she’s ready to lose anything for as long as she’s standing with her friend Mathias Mpuuga.
At the instigation of the #UgandaParliamentExpo, it was revealed how the Nyendo-Mukungwe legislator Mathias Mpuuga received Shs500m as a service award way back when he was still leader of opposition, this caused a rift between him and his party which has since recalled him as commissioner on paper and replaced him with Francis Zaake.

As if recalling him wasn’t enough, NUP president Bobi Wine suspended Mpuuga as his Deputy President in charge of Buganda. Despite political pundits seeing it as a move to clip Mpuuga’s wings by NUP, the current signature collection championed by Lwemiyaga county legislator to censure the four commissioners of parliament including Mpuuga has exonerated NUP.

Through all this, there’s an MP who hasn’t spoken anything about the Service award or blamed Mpuuga over the same and this is Joyce Bagala Ntwatwa who represents the Women of Mityana district after trouncing Land Minister Judith Nabakooba in 2021.
Bagala while appearing on Buganda’s CBS radio last Thursday with Ibrahim Ssemuju Nganda hosted by Meddy Nsereko, Mityana district women representative Joyce Bagala Ntwatwa has stated that she’s ready to lose the NUP ticket for as long as she’s standing with Mpuuga.
She goes ahead to reveal that she’s been Mpuuga’s great friend even before she joined politics and this is the reason why she’s even part of the committee chaired by Kimanya-Kabonera legislator Abed Bwanika which is organizing Mpuuga’s thanks giving at Kitovu grounds later this month an event that will be graced by Buganda’s premier Charles Peter Mayiga.
Several legislators who crossed with Mpuuga to join NUP have stayed away from blaming Mpuuga or even signing the censure motion apart from Mukono Municipality legislator Betty Nambooze. Muwanga Kivumbi and Medard Lubega Ssegona have also shunned NUP’s efforts in blaming Mpuuga.
