Veteran MP Cecilia Ogwal breathed her last yesterday from an Indian hospital which parliament says she was rushed after a short illness. It was later revealed that Ogwal succumbed to cancer which she has been battling for quite some time.
The Forum for Democratic Change (FDC), the party she belonged to for some time while announcing her death indicated that they’re working closely with the family to come up with a burial program.

Parliament has now come out to trash FDC’s burial program indicating that it’s the house meant to release this not the party where she belonged to and it’s the speaker of parliament and the family who will release the burial program of the departed member of parliament.
Taking to his X formerly Twitter account, parliament Communications director Chris Obore said the general public should disregard the program released by FDC until parliament releases a genuine program.
“The burial of the late Hon Cecilia Ogwal is the responsibility of parliament not the FDC party . Please disregard the purported burial program released by the FDC on it’s social media platforms. The Speaker of Parliament together with the family, will release the funeral arrangements. We urge the FDC to observe the bare minimum of respect and decency and not vulgarise the final journey of the hugely respected Hon Cecilia”-Obore posted.
