Museveni’s minister in charge of Karamoja affairs and Manafwa women legislator Mary Goreti Kitutu is dominating the discussions on social media after she was presented before court today over the diverted iron sheets.
The Minister’s fate started going bad early this week when she refused to take oath while facing the presidential affairs committee as she was meant to highlight on the unanswered questions on the Karamoja iron sheets scandal.

The Jessica Ababiku led committee handed the troubled Minister to the CID cops at parliament who also transferred her to the CID headquarters in Kibuli, her file was processed as quick as possible, sent to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
DPP opted to have Kitutu presented to the Kololo based Anti-Corruption court since among all the accused ministers, legislators including the speaker, she’s carrying the heavy luggage of answers on how 3000 OPM branded iron sheets reached her mother’s home, how the iron sheets got to shops in Namisindwa where they being sold at cheaper prices.
However, the troubled academician from Manafwa struggled to cover her face when scribes thronged her vehicle when she was making a grand entry to the Kololo based court.
By the time of filing this story, Kitutu and her brother who was re-arrested yesterday denied the charges.
