AMUDAT: The media fraternity in Karamoja region have been angered by the new style of theft of Emyooga money using their professional name .
This was after realizing that some district officials of Amudat in Karamoja sub region had forged a group and named it Amudat journalist association where the district blew Shs40m yet the district has no single journalist.
According to the information obtained by this website, the money was shared among the district officials in Amudat.

Moses Lodio a news reporter in Moroto says there’s no single journalist in Amudat and urged the relevant authorities to take keen interest and verify those who claim to be journalists in Amudat.
Steven Ariong a seasoned journalist in Karamoja has described the act by the district officials of Amudat as unfortunate and promised to ensure that those who orchestrated the plan to use journalists’ name to swindle money are brought to book.
“First of all Amudat district has never hard any single journalist, we have been the ones running the whole of Karamoja so how comes that I have never meet with journalists based in Amudat,”he asked.
Ariong urged the office of the president to take the matter as something serious by helping the media fraternity to identify those abusing media profession with fraud and scams.
Emmanuel Oyuku the chief administrative officer who’s barely two months in the station when contacted promised to follow up the issues describing it as unacceptable and its bordering criminality.
“Am going to pick interest into that matter and if it’s true those responsible will carry their own cross,” he vowed while speaking to this publication.
