The Uganda People’s Defense Forces (UPDF) has openned on rumors indicating that one of Museveni’s top General Elly Tumwine met his death in Nairobi where he was flown few days for further medications.
Tumwine’s family dispelled the rumors and urged the nation to instead pray to the sick General who is on his sick at the neighborhood than spreading false information that he’s dead.
If modernity is equivalent to wizardly, then I would rather remain backward. In a society with norms, NO one wishes another dead!!!
But some people are going to a great length declare the living, dead! What a shame!!!!!— Defence Spokesperson (@UPDFspokespersn) August 15, 2022
Not happy with the rumors, UPDF has hit back at those who pride in announcing people dead when they are still alive causing a string of mixed reactions among whom include self exiled author Kakwenza Rukirabasaija who unapologetically said he’s ready to celebrate when he hears news that one of those who tortured him is dead.
UPDF is known for to*turing and mu*dering critics, why shouldn’t we wish for your passing? I cannot wait, as an individual, to celebrate passing of my enemies who almost killed me

Rumors started spreading that former Security Minister Gen Elly Tumwine and bush war hero who is set to retire from the army is sick and was admitted to Nakasero hospital but was later airlifted to Nairobi at the end of last week.
