Yesterday, social media was a wash of Rest in peace messages for Museveni’s top General Elly Wamala with several claiming he had been called by his creator. Tumwine has been ill was reportedly admitted at Nakasero hospital though reports indicate that he was airlifted to Nairobi for better medication.
To the contraly however, his family dispelled the rumors and indicated that the tough talking army General who is set t retire this is ill but not dead as reported. Using his tweeter handle, the family urged the general public to dispel the rumors.

Tumwiine is among Museveni’s most treasured army Generals who is among the 27 then kadogo boys who attacked Kabamba military barracks in the early 1980s which sparked off a 5 year bush war in the Luwero jungles that brought Museveni’s government to power now 36 years and still counting.
