The opposition parliament have endorsed Bugiri Municipality legislator Asuman Basalirwa for speakership in tomorrow’s elections for Oulanyah replacement at Kololo ceremonial grounds presided over by the chief justice Alphonse Owiny Dollo.
The Forum for Democratic Change, UPC, DP, JEEMA, NUP all decided in unison that Basalirwa be their candidate to take on NRM’s Anita Among who was yesterday hand picked by the party’s CEC and has been endorsed by the NRM caucus.
The race battle to replace Oulanyah in parliament has attracted many candidates and we are yet see even other names being nominated on the D-day tomorrow.
