Firebrand politician and National Unity Platform boss has condoled with the family of the late Jacob Oulanya who died last Sunday sending the country into mourning. As the dark cloud continues hanging above Acholi land over his demise, a lot has been said and continues to be over circumstances leading to his death.
In his condolence on tweeter, Bobi Wine led a group of National Unity Platform leaders to condole with the family of the late speaker and he has also added his voice in demanding for an independent investigation into Oulanyah’s death as his family has demanded.
Bobi Wine also took a swipe at a group of leaders from Acholi land who are deviating the country from demanding the cause of Oulanyah’s death into pointing fingers at his party. Among those he referred to was Chief Justice Alphonse Owiny Dollo who in a video making rounds on social media is seen blaming those who protested in the US over Oulanyah’s admission and tagged them to Buganda as he charged at how Kabaka used public money which he isn’t even entitled to.
According to Bobi Wine, Chief justice would have instead focused on knowing which killed the great son of Acholi, blaming the protests to a certain tribe was the least expected from his as the head of the judiciary in this country.
“Some regime apologists have been trying to divert the attention of the nation from the questions being asked. Too bad for them, they too are potential victims of the same system that is being accused of eating its own children. This must concern all of us”- tweeted Bobi Wine
Led a team of @NUP_Ug leaders to sign the condolence book for the Rt. Hon. Jacob L'Okori Oulanyah at Parliament. We continue to mourn this fallen son of Uganda, and join his family in demanding for an independent investigation into his untimely death. May his soul rest in peace. pic.twitter.com/wh7PXpbEQk
