Following the death of the Speaker of parliament Jacob L’okori Oulanyah yesterday which was confirmed by the President. A lot is being said and will be said amidst the mourning, his official burial program is yet to be released by government.
However, Ugandans are question how those who went to check on him one week ago are contradicting themselves on what exactly transpired. The team that went to check on Oulanyah in the US hospital where he was included health Minister Jane Ruth Acheng, Deputy speaker Anita Among, DP president Norbert Mao, Chief Justice Alphonse Owiny Dollo and Oulanyah’s brother.
On Norbert Mao through twitter account revealed how the Speaker is very very ill and urged Ugandans to pray for him, however Anita Among who gave the official statement on the health of her boss contradicted Mao when she said he was responding well to medication.
I’m with the CJ, the D/Speaker, the Health Minister & the Speaker’s brother in Seattle where the Speaker is hospitalized. A man who is very ill deserves our prayers. Above all let’s respect his privacy and that of his family. The D/Speaker will soon issue a statement. It is well! pic.twitter.com/Xz3QavYUjY

Together with close friends; His Lordship Alphonse Owiny Dollo, Hon.Nobert Mao and Health Minister Jane Ruth Aceng; I have visited Rt Hon Speaker Jacob Oulanyah at his Hospital Bed in Seattle.
He is receiving and responding to treatment under the close attention of his Doctors.— Anita Annet Among (@AnitahAmong) March 18, 2022
However, in a quite shocking revelation, minister of health Jane Ruth Aceng revealed that the speaker Oulanyah died before getting treatment for the disease he was battling from though not yet disclosed because the pot-mortem report hasn’t been shared. According to Minister Aceng, since the time Oulanyah was airlifted to the US in the first week of February, Doctors have just been stabilizing him.

As reported by Monitor, it’s reported that Oulanyah’s father Mzee Nathan Lo’kori has disputed claims that his son died of a natural death, he claims his son was poisoned and suspected some two people who did it. But never the less let’s mourn the man who has been welcoming every one regardless of their political inclination.
