President Museveni held his campaigns in Gulu at Watoto church and met several leaders in the region to pass to them the messages they should take to the party structures about his manifesto in a bid to extend his grip to power to 40 years.

As the campaigns geared up, reports indicate that prior to his arrival at the campaigning venue, all campaign posters of different candidates like those of Patrick Oboi Amuriat (POA) and those of Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi wine were pulled down and replaced with yellow posters of Tibuhaburwa.

Unlike the chaos that rocked Gulu with tear gas and bullets as police blocked Bobi wine and his supporters from campaigning freely, it was a peaceful mood as police escorted the NRM processions which is a clear indication that the SOP’s only apply to opposition but not to the yellow camp.

The electoral commission which in this game are the referees are tight lipped about the violence meted on several presidential candidates and their supporters hence confirming that the ground is not leveled for all candidates.
