Mityana woman MP Joyce Bagala tried to visit jailed Lwengo MP Cissy Namujju inside her police cell at Kira Police division on Monday but she was blocked and chased away. Some MPs have been allowed to visit their colleagues but those suspected to be likely to interfere with investigations have selectively been blocked-and Bagala is one of them.
Their friendship with Namujju is so deep detectives suspected Namujju intended to send her to her home in Kigo and direct her where money and other evidence she had hidden from them was being kept.

It’s reported that the embattled Namujju sent for Bagala through one of the visiting MPs and sources say that she wanted to send her home and direct her where the keys for her strong room are kept.
The idea was to direct Bagala to her Kigo home to go and pick more than $250,000 and go hide it in her house in Mityana or the Entebbe road Seguku residence where Bagala lives sometimes.
Bagala was chased away like chicken thief just like has been happening for other MPs especially members of the budget committee who are also reportedly on the CID radar and will be picked one by one for questioning.
