News reaching our desk away from the Uganda Martyrs days celebrations held at Namugongo and Nakiyanja shrines, former Uganda’s Attorney General Kiddu has died aged 74 years.
Makubuya who rose through the political ranks after he was elected Member of Parliament representing Katikamu South Constituency in 1996 and was appointed State Minister for Luwero Triangle. Also served as State minister for foreign affairs (International Cooperation) in 1998 and later appointed Minister of Education and Sports in 1999.

Makubuya would later become Uganda’s Justice and constitutional affairs minister and Attorney General from 2005 to 2011 when he was appointed Minister of General Duties in the office of the Prime Minister until when he resigned from cabinet on 16th February 2012.
He was a seasoned Lawyer who served in other capacities outside Museveni’s government. This story is still being updated, keep checking for new developments.
