ON THEIR KNEES: Bugweri Chiefdom Bosses Forced To Apologize To Anita Among Over Mufumbiro’s Comments

Last week, politicians from all walks of life converged in Bugweri to mourn and send off MP Abdul Katuntu’s young brother Ramathan Waiswa who died in a car accident in Ngora on his way from attending the Magistrates court in Soroti.

Many politicians spoke but what caught the attention of the media is how National Unity Platform Deputy Spokesperson Waiswa Alex Mufumbiro warned speaker Anita Among to stop dragging former speaker of parliament Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga in her fights.

The outspoken NUP mouthpiece openly told off Anita Among to let Kadaga be and stop abusing her wherever she gets time because she’s happily serving her country as the 2nd Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for East African affairs and it surprises when Among claims Kadaga is fighting her.

In the wake of an online #UgandaParliamentExhibition which uncovered hidden facts about the speaker’s well coordinated and extravagant expenditure of tax payer’s money, the women member of Bukedea went on a lamentations spree when asked to open up on the corruption allegations leveled against her and parliament.

Anita Among first blamed her woes to the bum-shafters who are asking for accountability but she would later on two events in her district accuse former speaker who want to retain the speakership position. She did the same in Buyende when she openly said an old woman is fighting her yet her people in Kamuli are developing.

None of the outspoken Busoga politicians came out to call the speaker Anita Among to order until Mufumbiro did so openly in Anita Among’s face.

Speaking at the event, Anita Among promised Bugweri Moslems Shs100m to construct the Moslem district headquarters and also promised to offer the deceased’s wife a job at parliament and she would immediately start working this week to earn money to be able to take care of the orphans left behind by her husband.

In rather a dramatic turn of events, a group of leaders said to be from Bugweri Chiefdom of Busoga Kingdom have in a letter making rounds on social media written to the Speaker of Parliament apologizing to her over Mufumbiro’s comments who called out the speaker On Corruption and leaving Kadaga out of her drama.

“Mama As RT. Hon Speaker of Parliament and Chief Mourner, We as Obwa Menha we thank you for honoring Abagweri and we would like to thank you towards the construction of the Bugweri Muslim district Headquarters where you contributed 100,000,000ugx”-reads part of their apology.

Despite Alex Waiswa Mufumbiro Speaking as a politician and not on behalf of the Chiefdom where they serve as leaders, they contend that Mufumbiro’s comments must have angered the speaker who would in turn leave the burial unhappy and also want an appointment with Speaker of Parliament in her office to physically apologize to her.

BELOW IS A VIDEO WHICH OF MUFUMBIRO SPEAKING WHICH PROMPTED THE CLAN LEADERS TO APOLOGIZE TO SPEAKER ANITA AMONG

However, many people think the Clan Leaders had to apologize because of the Speaker’s promise of Shs100m which has not yet been delivered and thought if they didn’t do that, she might backtrack and recall her promise towards the building of the Bugweri district Moslem headquarters.
