Dr Twaha Kagabo who is in parliament on the National Unity Platform ticket has lashed at his own party and said it’s not ready to take stewardship of the country Uganda because of the way they handle their issues.
The Bukoto south MP was reacting to the statement issued by NUP confirming a meeting convened by the party president Bobi Wine where Mpuuga admitted to having received Shs500m as service award which his party deems is dirty money.

The statement from NUP further indicated that Mpuuga apologized and vowed never to do it but the party told him to resign from his position as parliamentary commissioner which he has since declined.
According to Kagabo, if NUP couldn’t handle such a small matter with in the party without trivializing it and spreading allover, it has only showed that they’re not ready to take on power and lead this country and the Mpuuga issue should have been kept private.

“I must applaud the Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu and their colleagues for having candidly and avidly portrayed to the nation that they are not able to take leadership of this country.” – Hon. Kagabo Twaha
After the show down in FDC that ended up leaving visible fractures in the party, seems the Satan that destroyed FDC is now having a seat at the Makerere-Kavule based party and will leave when the party is in tatters ahead of the 2026 general elections.
