Kampala Deputy Lord Mayor Doreen Nyanjura has given birth to a bouncing baby girl named Rena. Nyanjura has been pregnant all along but few would notice she’s expecting.
Getting pregnant and giving birth was one of Doreen Nyanjura’s New Year Resolution number 3 for the year 2023. Taking to his social media handles, Dr Besigye congratulated the Deputy Lord Mayor on fulfilling her resolution.
Congratulations “Mama Rena”, Omutatina (one never afraid) on fulfilling your “resolution”!

Nyanjura is an FDC member and supporter aligned to the Katonga faction led by Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago who sit at Katonga road with Dr Kiiza Besigye. Lukwago appointed Nyanjura as his Deputy on 18th June 2020 replacing Sarah Kanyike who dumped DP for the ruling party as Museveni appointed her Minister for elderly but would later dump her in his cabinet later in 2021.
