This week, the MK movement a pressure group which brings together the crusaders of the Muhoozi project which pushes for a Muhoozi presidency after his father rebranded their group to a new name with a new logo but maintained NRM’s party colors.
Ahead of the 2026 general elections, the group continues to push Muhoozi to take his father’s [Museveni] throne when he takes up that bold step of retiring to Rwakitura launched a new pressure group and rebranded from MK movement to Patriotic League Of Uganda, they also changed from using Muhoozi’s face as the logo to a Lion.

The event which took place at their offices in Nagulu was graced by several Ministers and Key NRM members and Members of parliament.
While announcing the changes, Igara East MP Micheal Mawanda who sits on Muhoozi’s Central Committee revealed that they have transitioned from a pressure group named MK Movement into a civic organization going to fight corruption and environmental degradation.
“We hereby constitute ourselves into a civic organization and assume and adopt a new name and identity, the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU), which is the main aim of working towards receiving Ugandans in a spirit of God citizenship national pride, national service, protection of persons, combating corruption and wastage of public services and protection of the environment”-Mawanda revealed
