Uganda is busy hosting visitors who are jetting into the country to attend the Non Aligned Movement (NAM) and G77+China summits this week and next week at the newly constructed Munyonyo Convention Centre.
The opposition wing is also in preparation to hold a joint press conference ahead of the 2026 general elections. In the Joint press conference, FDC Katonga faction, Bobi Wine’s NUP, Mugisha Muntu’s Alliance for National Transformation (ANT) and the UPC faction of Olala Otunu and Peter Walubiri are set to speak to Ugandans this morning.

Just as expected, Police and Army have deployed heavily at Katonga road and around Besigye’s office where the presser is going to take place.
Mugisha Muntu, Dr Kiiza Besigye, Dr Olala Otunu and the NUP Principal Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu are set to grace the event.
Their newly formed Forum for Uganda National Democratic Alliance(FUNDA) is top on agenda to be unveiled to Ugandans today and the opposition supporters.
