Speaking to journalists early this week, the spokesperson of the Uganda National Examinations Board Janepher Kalule told journalists that the ongoing events in Uganda especially the Non Aligned Movement summit affected the earlier programs to release the PLE results for the year 2023 and therefore they wouldn’t be released this week.

However, in a letter seen by this publication signed by a one Irene Kauma, it revealed that UNEB will brief the minister of Education also first lady Janet Kataha Museveni on the results of PLE 2023 on Wednesday 24th January 2024, 11am at State House Nakasero.
Thereafter, the examinations body will then release the PLE results for the year 2023 on Thursday 25th January 20234, 11am at State house Nakasero.
In the letter Kauma also invited the stake holders involved but also indicated that they should take Covid-19 tests at Mulago Platinum Centre on Tuesday before taking part in activities involving the first lady who tested positive for Covid-19 after Christmas last year but healed after three days.
