A cloud of sorrow hovers above the family and house of Corporal Richard Muhumuza who died on Tuesday night following an assassination attack on his boss Bugingo as they were heading back home in the areas of Namungoona.
Cpl Richard Muhumuza was attached to the presidential guard elite force called SFC and was deployed to guard pastor Aloysius Bugingo almost 10 months ago. He was referred too as a church elder by those at Canaan land.

After the shooting, pastor Bugingo thought he would save his life and drove for almost 6 kilometers up to Mulago hospital where Muhumuza was pronounced dead on arrival. According to several accounts surrounding the incident, Bugingo hid under the steering and the attackers targeted the co-drivers seat which they thought was being occupied by Bugingo who instead was driving.
He has been laid to rest in Ssembabule district in a function which was presided over by several army bosses and pastor Bugingo, his wife Suzan Makula and other members of the House of Prayer ministry international.
Reports indicate that pathologists at Mulago hospital found 10 bullet wounds and removed 7 bullets from Muhumuza’s body. The vehicle with the personalized number plate PRAIZ GOD has been transport to the CID headquarters in Kibuli for as investigations extend wide to bring the perpetrators to book.
