The Vice President of the republic of Uganda Rt Maj Jesica Rose Alupo Epel has celebrated her festive season with the prisoners and Patients of Katakwi district. Alupo started her tour and visit with Katakwi government prison, where hundreds of mates welcomed her with cheers and jolly .
She delivered various item to the mates ie food, soap, sugar cooking oil and many more as sign of love and peace. In her message, she thanked president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for the good work while driving and directing the country in smooth manner.
“Museveni is a good and organise leader who focuses on the issues of development, industrialisation, patriotism and Pan Africa” Alupo added
She asked all people of Uganda to rally behind president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni come2026 fourth coming general election in order the country to achieve more. Alupo also visited Katakwi general hospital maternity ward to welcome babies born on Christmas season and to deliver her gifts to the babies.
She committed that government will expand the hospital infrastructure as soon as possible in order to support mothers. Jane Tino one of the expectant mothers send her sincere thanks to VP for remembering maternity of Katakwi hospital
“We’re ready to support her and president Museveni come 2026 general election and she assured that as women of Katakwi district there strick to their point” Tino said
Meanwhile Dr Joseph Emuron incharge of Katakwi hospital in his statement thanked the Vice president for her tiresome work towards the upgrade of hospital structures. He says as Katakwi hospital there’s vig gap of staffing levels and poor supply of medicine which has left number of residence to continue suffering with several diseases.
However, Geoffrey Omolo LCV Katakwi district, asked the people of Katakwi to seek for medical attention whenever he or she gets down. He therefore appealed the office of the Vice president to follow the issue of Mangoro, Okore and Ngariam land that UWA has demarcated at yet the owners are struggling with life wherever they are.
