National Unity Platform principal is in Mbarara today for a series of activities for his party ahead of the 2026 general elections which according to the nature of events unfolding might be a presidential candidate in that election where Museveni will be seeking to extend his helm at the presidency to 45 years.
Bobi Wine announce last week that his party would take the gospel of change to different districts and cities around the country to solidify his strength and structures of the party.
According to plans seen by this website, Bobi Wine will first launch National Unity Party offices in Mbarara city located along the Makhan Singh Road and there after he will address his party members and the structures at Global High School Grounds in Mbarara city. It’s reported he will also have a talk show on Radio Endigyito.

There had been unverified reports last evening that the RCC for Mbarara had issued threats to block the meetings and was reportedly pushing the proprietor to cancel the meeting despite NUP SG Lewis Lubongoya confirming that they informed police and attached receipts of payments for the planned meetings.
Police has since warned Bobi Wine and his party to adhere to the provisions of the law and avoid rallies an processions that might disturb other people to go about their businesses normally.
