Anything in Uganda is possible, the Banana republic is among the top most countries where corruption thrives day and night, year in, year out. The Inspectorate of Government Betty Olive Namisango Kamya (BONK) recently revealed that government loses approximately Shs10 trillions to corruption.
She was rallying Ugandans to join the fight against corruption since it affects the average Ugandans when they don’t see their roads constructed, no medicine in hospitals among other social services that government is supposed to provide to it’s citizens.
Forget about ministry of trade which spent Shs400millions to transport documents from Kampala to Entebbe, there’s this other scandal where Shs9.6billion was spent on training youths how to drink coffee in Uganda. This has left legislators in utter shock.
Members of parliament have since tasked officials from the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) to explain how the Shs9.6billion was spent on training youths how to drink coffee in Uganda, after the auditor General revealed that some of the coffee shops established in Gulu, Lira, Mbale during the campaign are non-existent.
