News of his sickness has elicited mixed reactions with his friends and well wishers sending him get well messages. He’s said to be receiving treatment from a London hospital yet to be known.
The former 2016 presidential candidate and former NRM General secretary has been out of government despite reconciling with his former boss president Museveni who dropped him after the former opted to run against him in the 2016 general elections under his forward movement which left NRM with divisions.

Replying to the news that’s spreading like wild fire, Amama Mbabazi revealed the sickness he’s suffering from that prompted him to go abroad to seek specialized medical attention.
“To all those that have sent me get well soon messages, I thank you for your encouragement, sympathy and love. It is not true that I got a stroke. I had a back ailment which was fixed & I have actually in the last week or so been involved in fairly heavy diplomatic work. Thanks.”- tweeted Mbabazi
