He pledged for more textbooks to give to other remaining secondary schools.

Amudat district had only three secondary schools which include Pokot Senior secondary, Karita senior secondary school and now Loro seed senior secondary school.

Moses Ruto one of the students of Loro seed secondary school says the donation by the former Mp has made most of them gain moral of studying.

“It has been hard for them to be taught due to lack of text books but now it’s our rescue”-he says

One of the teachers who spoke on condition of anonymity fearing to be reprimanded told this website that the donation of text books by the former MP shows exactly the kind of people who love education.

“We have been borrowing text books and it has been very hard to teach”-he says

Anthony Owoth the district education officer applauded the donation of the books saying improving education standered in the Pokot community needs a joint effort from both parents, students, leaders and religious leaders.

“As education department, we are so glad for the support given by our brother to the school and we call upon others to support the schools so that our learners can perform better”-Owoth urged

This website has learnt that this is the first leader in the whole of Karamoja region to donate such a big number of textbooks to a government school.
