Kenyan president William Ruto has lashed out at Western authorities for mistreating African presidents when they visit their countries for summits and visits.
Speaking at the Mo Ibrahim Governance Weekend at the Kenyatta International convention Centre (KICC) earlier today, the Kenyan president revealed his disappointment with the disrespect accorded to them when they went to attend the burial of Queen Elizabeth last year.
Ruto also revealed that the tendency of one powerful president calling African presidents all to go and listen to him is coming to end. The 5th Kenyan president further says it’s total disrespect and they’ve agreed as African presidents never to go sit before one individual.
“These meetings between African and the US, Europe, Turkey, and we are currently awaiting meetings between Africa and Russia and Japan. We have determined that 54 of us going to sit before one individual from another location is not a wise move”-Ruto Revealed

As opposed to powerful presidents like Joe Biden of the US and Emmanuel Macron of France, these all used their private means but African presidents and delegates were instead parked in buses like school kids something that elicited mixed reactions.

Several powerful countries like China, Russia, United States, Japan, UK, German and now South Korea all convene summits which are attended by African presidents in a bid to boost trade, bilateral relations and investments. These summits are addressed by the president of that powerful country.
