OBONGI: The newly posted resident district commissioner for Obongi district Samuel Hashaka Mpimbaza has assumed his new office and cautioned the district officials that he’s the first enemy is corruption.
Hashaka a journalist by profession is well known of fighting and exposing corruption.
“Am here to work in line with presidential directives to ensure that the local person down the road gets better services, if your a corrupt official please I advise you to change or else get out of Obongi,”he warned.

He worked in Abim, Karenga, Bukwo districts and now Obongi. His three four days in the office has so far made him discover the abandoned project supervised by the team from the office of the prime minister.
The project worth Shs400m was abandoned three years down the road in Itula sub county in Obongi district due to alleged disagreement on kick bucks.
There was a huge celebrations among the district leaders of Obongi upon his transfer to Obongi. Andrew Leru the chief Administrative officer Obongi welcomed Hashaka to the district saying his deployment in Obongi will help to change many things in the district.
