MOROTO: The general public in Karamoja on Wednesday jubilated about the move by members of parliament from Karamoja to censure Hon Mary Goreti Kitutu the minister for Karamoja affairs for diverting iron sheets meant for the people of Karamoja to her own district.
On Wednesday news got to Karamoja region about a section of their own legislators collecting signatures to move a motion in parliament to censure the troubled Kitutu.

Kitutu is currently vomiting shock and lost appetite of eating following the on going investigations by State house anti corruption unit and IGG after her mother, brother and Nephew were arrested with relief items meant for the people of Karamoja.
Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Hon Faith Nakut the woman member of parliament for Napak says minister Kitutu will explain how her other colleagues got the iron sheets.
Moses Lokut a resident of Nakale in Nakapiripirit district says censuring minister Kitutu should be accompanied by the arrest and prosecution so that other ministers will stop misusing items meant to benefit the poor people.
“How do we fight corruption to be honest when the ministers who are supposed to be exemplary are the ones having PHDs on theft,” he questioned
Marry Akolong another resident says its unfortunate that people in government are taking advantage of the poor situation of the people of Karamoja to enrich themselves.
