BREAKING NEWS: Former Omoro County NUP Candidate Is Dead

Sad news making headlines this afternoon indicate that former NUP candidate for the Omoro county by election Simon Tolid Akecha is dead.

According to NBS TV’s Benson Ongom, Tolit passed died from Lacor Hospital in Gulu where he was admitted two days ago.

Tolit was NUP’s candidate in the Omoro county by election held on 26th May last year following the death of former speaker Jacob Oulanyah. The elections were won by Oulanyah’s son Andrew Ojok Oulanyah with 14224 votes and Tolit came second with 1633 votes.

Tolit is former MP for Omoro county between 2006 to 2016 after beating his closest rival then Jacob Oulanyah.
