It had earlier been reported that the flamboyant Army General was critically ill and had passed on something that raised serious concerns on the validity and truthfulness of the matter because government was quiet not until 7:30pm when a top Museveni minister broke the silence.

“I write to clarify that Gen Moses Ali, the 2nd Deputy Prime Minister is alive and well contrary to social media speculations about his death. This morning he was in office and is now at his home with family”- tweeted Baryomunsi.

Gen Moses Ali has been in and out of hospitals and was flown to Turkey last year for treatment. He later on March 27th appeared at Kololo airstrip during the voting of the new speaker following the death of Jacob Oulanyah. The 83 year old army general and politician looked too frail and his health shocked Ugandans who suggested he should retire and concentrate on his health.

Later on 11th May this very year, Moses Ali in a video that made rounds on social media collapsed in parliament during plenary presided over by Deputy Speaker Thomas Tayebwa and was only saved by the legislators who quickly helped him not to fall down.
