Museveni’s House on Fire as Succession Battle Takes New Twist

President Museveni’s house is razing with bitter words over who takes over after him amongst his family members since he’s in the evening of his abilities despite the excitement on the outside in his National Resistance Party where several especially the Alupo and Otaffire group have been moving around the whole country organizing endorsements of his 2026 bid.

The first son who is a serving military officer at the rank of a four-star general was dropped from his role as the commander land forces and replaced with Lt Gen Kayanja Muhanga who was then heading the operation shujaa in the jungles of Eastern DRC aimed at eliminating the Allied Democratic Forces ADF. Muhoozi retained his other position as a presidential advisor on special operations.

The president would later apologize on behalf of his now 48 year old son over comments he made on twitter regarding Kenya that his (Muhoozi’s)army can take over Nairobi in just a few days, the 48 year old also said things of democracy only works in Kenya not in Uganda.

After being dropped from an active military position, Muhoozi looks to be drowned in active politics though currently on social media, he few days ago revealed that he will be making an important announcement in few weeks but our anticipation pointed at retiring from the army to concentrate on the ‘Muhoozi Project’ which is now no longer far from reality.

He however took jibes at his father’s National Resistance Movement which he said no longer represents people’s interests. It was later revealed that day by US-based Ugandan journalist Remmy Bahati that the first son has plans of unveil his own political party though Muhoozi confirmed the line but said they’re working on a better name not the National Progressive Party as alleged before.

In his recent tweets that all draw at a succession talk or something pointing at a heir to his father’s family and the ‘throne’ of presidency, Muhoozi sent a veiled message to in-laws who against saying anything. In a tweet that he later deleted, Muhoozi says those who marry in their family don’t qualify to say anything.

“Let our people not be confused. Jesus Christ our God only flows in our blood. In the family of Amos Kaguta !!! Those who marry into us can NEVER qualify to say anything. Except my brother-in-law Edwin Karugire”- tweeted Muhoozi

His other brother-in-law Odrek Rwabwogo also at one time blasted those who discuss succession politics.

“Every day we wake up & the country is full of noise with empty politics & shallow succession discussions, is a day lost to productive thinking & support to our youth. Those who waste time in these useless online chats and those that support them, are an enemy to our country!” -Tweeted Odrek Rwabwogo early this year

To prove his high apettite to replace his father on presidency, Muhoozi sent a stun warning to the NRM group that has been signing declarations for Museveni who in 2026 would have made a whooping 40 years as president to stand again that he’s determined to defeat them at all angles.
