Sad news around the world indicate that pope Emeritus Benedict XVI has died aged 95 years from the holly walls of Vatican of the catholic church.
Few days ago, the reigning pope Francis, called on Christians to pray for his predecessor who was struggling for his life over yet to be known illness and old age.

Benedict became the first oldest pope to be elected at 78 years in 2005, he was at the helm of the catholic church for just eight years and became the second pope to resign in 2013 since Gregory XII in 1415.

Through their social media pages, Pope Francis announced the death of his predecessor Benedict in a short message that has sent Catholics across the world into mourning.
