It’s still moments of sadness and sorrow with in UPDF, NRM, parliament following the demise of one of Museveni’s fierce Generals Elly Tumwine.
Tumwine passed on yesterday from lung cancer at Aga Khan hospital where he had been flown to seek proper medication.
His death was confirmed by his mentor, leader and hero President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni who recruited him in the army and according to Tibuhaburwa, the tough speaking General is the one who fired the first bullet that sparked off the 5-year- bush war that ushered in the NRM government.
The program for his burial has not yet been availed to the public but his body has arrived from Nairobi as reported by NTV’s Ivan Kamana Walunyolo.
