As the voting for the new speaker goes on at Kololo in a special sitting of parliament presided over by the chief justice Alphonse Owiny Dollo, legislators are not comfortable with a vehicle belonging to president Museveni’s motorcade which is having camera’s with a team inside it manning it.
Two legislators Kalungu West MP Hon Joseph Sewungu Gonzaga and Kilak South MP Hon Gilbert Oulanyah both raised separately on procedural matters concerning the same vehicle which they say is planted there to pip in the voting area such president Museveni can know which candidate every MP voted for in the speakership race.
While reacting to the matter, the chief justice who is presiding over the session, declined to give the issue the seriousness it deserves and the vehicle still remains in near the area where the MPs are voting from. He instead advised members of parliament to just hide from the cameras while voting because the cameras see through the human bodies.
