News on the move in the headlines indicate that novelist Kakwenza Rukirabashaija has fled Uganda today Wednesday to run for his life after going through torture orders of those he wronged.
The author is facing charges of offensive communication and disturbing the peace of President Museveni and that of his Son Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba and was arrested on 28th December 2021, and would later be given bail, re-arrested before leaving Kitalya prison and then dumped at his home in Iganga.
However, seems the troubled writer wouldn’t wait for court to dispose off the case he’s facing, he has decided to flee the country reportedly via Rwanda and reports indicate he is headed for Europe for a safe haven after failing to secure his passport to travel legitimately for treatment abroad.
This is a developing story and more details will be updated.

Confirming the development, Kakwenza through his facebook blasted the magistrate handling his case Douglas Singiza who turned down the request to have Kakwenza be given his passport to seek medical attention abroad.
Kakwenza has hit at the telling him to try the passport in his dock in the court but him as the accused will never face the same court again.
