Speaking to Spurs Tv, Fabio Paratici has backed north London based Tottenham Hotspur to build something big and produce the best style of football.
The Italian was hired by Daniel Levy as the new director of football of Tottenham earlier this summer after he did a stellar job at Juventus. Thus, he came in with a good reputation and immediately got to work at the North London Club.
The transfer strategy was clear as spurs targeted young players. Bryan Gil, Cristian Romero, Pape Matar Sarr, and Emerson Royal were brought in, while Perluigi Gollini at 26, was also a good acquisition.
Although things are yet to click and fall into place under new boss Nuno Espirito Santo, Paratici ie eyeing the bigger picture as he believes that the Lilly whites have the potential to build something big. The 49-year-old told Spurs Tv
“When I spoke about the big picture, it’s this, we have the best infrastructure in the world, amazing fans, we are in a big city, the best city in Europe, so we have everything to build something really, really big”
Paratici was also asked about his plan at the club and he responded instantenously.
“Choose the right players, about mentality first, about the style of football second. To build the best team and the best style of football we can. This is our target, it is not so difficult to think this, but we have to know what we have to do to achieve this”
Infact, Paratici did not just manage to sign good young players but also convince Harry Kane to stay at the club despite a lot of interest from big money clubs like Manchester city.
Thus, with the long-term plans laid out clearly, Spurs will be hoping to achieve the targets and get back into the Champions league and compete for the biggest trophies on a regular basis.
