Barbie Kyagulanyi Itungo the wife to former Kyadondo legislator and NUP boss Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu has today reached out to mothers in the greater Luwero district along side several members of parliament from Luwero.
Through her NGO called Caring Hearts Uganda, Barbie has been doing charity for the past eight years with projects in Education, Health and empowerment especially teenage mothers.
While speaking at the event held at Kasana hospital, Barbie revealed that her passion for charity is a calling since she’s a mother and would also give a hand with what she can to help mothers bring up their children and asked whoever can manage to reach out to mothers.
Her donation drive comes at a time when the country is struggling health wise and much focus has been put on battling Covid-19 which has ravaged not only Uganda but across the world. When Covid-19 made it’s way to Uganda, people suffering from several illnesses like HIV/ AIDs, Cancer, Malaria among other illness have suffered much.
