President Yoweri Museveni has today been sworn in to rule Uganda for the sixth term.
Museveni arrived at the Kololo Independence Grounds for the swearing-in ceremony, accompanied by First Lady Janet Museveni.
Among the visitors in attendance of Museveni’s swearing in ceremony was US Ambassodor to Uganda Natalie E. Brown.
However, eye brows raised when Natalie was welcomed in a tent and made to sit on an ordinary plastic chair, something which has been termed by many as an act of embarrassment to the US Envoy.
For so long US has criticised Museveni’s regime for lacking rule of law and violating basic human rights.
