Fire brand politician and presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu has decried random arrests of his coordinators and polling agents ahead of tomorrow’s highly contested polls.
This comes at a time when the military has arrested majority of Bobi wine’s close associates, supporters and many are being held in unknown places while others like Eddie Mutwe, his right hand man Nubian Li were remanded to Kitalya prisons after being accused of being in custody of military stores.
According to the National Unity Platform (NUP) principal Kyagulanyi, the military is arresting whoever is being found distributing Appointment letters to the polling agents yet it’s constitutional and under the law for every candidate to atleast have two polling agents at every polling station.
The military & police are arresting people found distributing appointment letters for our polling agents ahead of tomorrow’s election! In Lira, Moroto, etc, persons coordinating this are detained & materials confiscated. The EC is yet to respond to our urgent calls to intervene

The custodian of Tomorrow’s important election which is the Independent Election headed by serving Justice Simon Byabakama Mugyenyi is still quiet as such unlawful acts are being done despite their mandate to deliver a free and fair election.
