Kayunga police has raided a peaceful People Power meeting that had been scheduled in Kayunga district arresting 5 youth members.
The People Power team leader ‘youth wing’ Hon. Zaake Francis Butebi has confirmed the arrest of people power youth members on his official Facebook handle.
The arrested members have been identified as Peace Nabukeera; Zziwa Robert; and Mukisa Ezekia who are currently being detained at Kayunga Central Police Station on unclear charges. Zaake adds that the rest are being detained at an unknown location.

Zaake was in company of one his deputies identified as Namirembe Angella was also reportedly arrested but later released but lost all her personal effects.
He says that they have engaged a team of lawyers to provide swift legal response as they continue to closely monitor the situation.
